When you donate $100 to a charity, you may wonder if you're making a difference. But when 100+ women donate $100 at the same time, we raise over $10,000 for a worthy cause.
A simple, yet impactful, way to make a positive change and “do good” in our local community.
How It Works
The concept is simple, 100 local women meet quarterly to each write a check for $100 that goes to the non-profit organization of the group’s choice. To welcome the next generation to philanthropy, any woman under the age of 35 pays $35. This combined donation of up to $10,000 makes a real impact without time-consuming fundraising events and planning.

We meet for one hour, four times a year, and write a check for $100.
A Few Simple Rules
Enter nominations at least 5 days prior to the meeting. This allows us enough time to vet the charities, post them, and allow members to gain some familiarity with the nominees.
Only active members of Treasure Lake / DuBois - 100 Women Who Care may nominate an organization.
No national charities will be considered; however, local branches of national charities are eligible for consideration. The purpose is for 100% of the contribution to stay in the Treasure Lake, DuBois and surrounding communities.
To ensure our giving remains inclusive and community-focused, organizations that are affiliated with political organizations, political campaigns, or whose primary purpose is to promote, advance, or support a specific religion, denomination, or religious ministry are not eligible for nomination.
Faith-based nonprofits that provide services to the broader community are eligible for nomination, provided that donated funds are used for community programs and services rather than religious activities.
All groups must have 501(c)3 nonprofit status.
Remember, only three charities will be presented at each meeting. If your charity is drawn, be prepared to give a 5-minute pitch. If two nominees receive the same number of votes, the two tied nominees will be placed into a basket, and one name will be drawn at random to determine the recipient of the donation. The nominee who is not selected may be nominated again as early as the next meeting.
By ballot, the group will vote, and the majority rules.
Nonprofit groups can only receive our award once per cycle. Groups may re-submit their names for consideration at the start of our new giving cycle, which is the August meeting. If your charity is not selected, you can resubmit each meeting.
