There are so many organizations doing meaningful work right here in the DuBois, Treasure Lake and surrounding communities. The list below is simply a starting point to get you thinking about the causes that are important to you.

This is by no means a complete list! You are always welcome to introduce or present a nonprofit that is not listed here. We want to hear about organizations that are making a difference in our community—even if we've never heard of them before.

  • We Care for Kids — supports local children with clothing and other essential needs.

  • Children's Aid Society of Clearfield County — foster care, adoption, child care, mentoring and family support..

  • Big Brothers Big Sisters of Jefferson, Elk & McKean Counties — youth mentoring in the local area.

  • Lifespan Family Services of PA — foster care and family services.

  • Pentz Run Youth Services — At-risk and disadvantaged youth.

  • Cohen’s Purpose — Provide respite and community resources to parents and caregivers of children with special needs.

Food & Basic Needs

  • DuBois Area Food Pantry — provides food assistance to local individuals and families.

  • Salvation Army – DuBois

  • Haven House Shelter — emergency short-term shelter and services for people and families in crisis.

  • Clearfield Habitat for Humanity — helps local families obtain decent, affordable housing.

Health & Wellness

  • Free Medical Clinic of DuBois — free medical, dental and eye care for qualifying individuals.

  • DuBois Area YMCA — youth, health, recreation and community programs.

  • Passages, Inc. — services supporting individuals with disabilities and their families.

  • Women at the Well Ministries of PA — Provides a 12-month residential programs helping women overcome addiction and life-controlling issues while developing life, vocational and personal skills for independent living.

Seniors

  • DuBois Senior & Community Center / Parkside Community Center — programs, meals and services supporting older adults.

Animals

  • Clearfield County SPCA — animal shelter, adoption and animal welfare services. It is a 501(c)(3).

  • Gateway Humane Society — Dedicated to sheltering and finding homes for stray, unwanted, or surrendered cats and dogs.

Veterans & Community

  • DuBois Area Honor Guard — local veterans organization providing military funeral honors.

  • Downtown DuBois, Inc. — nonprofit organization focused on downtown revitalization and community development.

  • DuBois Area United Way — supports a network of local agencies and community needs.
